Question : Funds from Religious Institutions

(a) whether funds are received by the Government from various religious institutions;
(b) if so, the names of such religious institutions/spots wherefrom these funds have been received during the last three years;
(c) the amount of these funds received during the said period, State/UT-wise; and
(d) the details of the utilisation of funds received from these religious institutions?

(a) to (d): Religious Institutions pay tax and non tax revenues to the Government as per the existing legal framework. However, the information about the total amount paid by them to Government under various heads is not maintained separately.
