(a) whether public sector oil companies of the country namely Indian Oil Corporation,
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Oil
and Natural Gas Corporation have been included in world’s best 500 commercial institutions;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the reasons enumerated for the inclusion of these companies in the list of best commercial institutions?

(a) to (b): There are four public sector oil companies, namely Indian Oil Corporation Limited,
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Oil and Natural
Gas Corporation listed in the Fortune Global 500 companies for the year 2010. The individual rank
