(a) whether the incidents of shooting and looting by the motor cycle riders are on the
increase in the NCT of Delhi;
(b) if so, the total number of persons killed/robbed/injured by the gang during the
current year, separately;
(c) the number of criminals arrested by the police in this connection and action taken
against them; and
(d) the measures taken/to be taken by the Government to check these incidents in future?

(d) The steps taken by Delhi Police to check these incidents in future include regular
interaction by the beat/Division/Police Station staff with rehri/patriwalas, security
guards/ chowkidars/ three wheelers/ TSR drivers, taxi stands/ parking lot attendants/
porters etc. to seek greater cooperation under ‘Eyes & Ears Scheme’; conducting regular
checking of suspected persons by erecting of mobile and static pickets, intensive motorcycle
and foot patrolling near markets and crowded places; sensitization of Resident and Market
Welfare Associations about the precaution to be taken to avert such crimes by organizing
meetings with them, etc.
