a) whether the Government has taken any steps to make ocean energy, especially tidal energy, more feasible in terms of cost and technology;
b) if so, the details thereof; and
c) the steps taken/being taken by the Government to ensure that marine biodiversity is not hampered owing to ocean energy generation?

(a)&(b): The National Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) is specially created to cater innovative projects under clean energy. Secondly, the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) supports the promotion of Research, Design & Development for projects including ocean/tidal energy also through financial incentives.
(c): The MNRE follows the steps as per guidelines of Ministry of Environment and Forest & Climate Change on the subject to ensure that marine biodiversity is not hampered owing to ocean energy generation.
