Question : LPG AGENCIES PETROL PUMPS IN BIHAR

(a): the number of LPG and petrol plumps functioning in Bihar at present;

(b): whether there is acute shortage of LPG and petrol in the State specially in North Bihar and the people are having great difficulty due to this; and

(c): if so, the steps Government taken or to be taken to provide at least one LPG agency and petrol outlet in each block level in the State?

(a) to (c): As on 1.4.1999 there were 214 LPG distributorships and 1131 retail outlet dealerships in operation in Bihar. In order to meet the increased demand, 105 LPG distributorships and 102 RO dealerships have been included in the current Marketing Plan 1996-98 for Bihar.
