(a) whether some proposals have been received by the Union
Government from the Government of Madhya Pradesh for
promoting Food Processing Industries in the State ;
(b) if so, the details thereof ;
(c) the details of the projects which have been approved;and
(d) the time by which the remaining proposals are likely to
be cleared ?

(a) to (d): Yes Sir; The Government have received 169
proposals from Madhya Pradesh for setting up/ modernization/
expansion of food processing units and other food processing
activities during the period 2002-03 to 2006-07. Of these,
63 proposals have been approved for financial assistance, 49
cases have been closed/rejected and remaining cases are at
various stages of processing. Sector-wise details of
proposals approved during the period are as follows:
