(a) the details of good quality vocational institutes set up by the National Skill Development Corporation across the country, State/UT-wise including Madurai Lok Sabha Constituency during the last 5 years; and
(b) the details of the industry led Sector Skill Councils that were created during the last five years, State/UT-wise including Madurai Constituency?
(a) Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) through NSDC facilitate setting up of state-of-the-art, aspirational model training centres in every district of India, covering all the parliamentary constituencies. These model training centres are referred to as “Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra” (PMKK).
Under the PMKK project, 812 PMKKs have been allocated in 707 districts covering 504 Parliamentary Constituencies. Out of the 812 allocated PMKKs, 723 PMKKs have been established and work is under progress to set up the remaining 89 centres. PMKK has been established by Quess Corp Limited in the district of Madurai in Tamil Nadu. The State-wise list of PMKKs allocated is at Annexure-I.
(b) The Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) have been created at National Level not at State/ District level The details of SSCs created in the last five years is as under:
