Question : EXPORT TO FRANCE



(a) the year-wise details of the number of goods exported to France from our country during the last three years;

(b) the amount of foreign exchange earned by the Government during this period;

(c) whether the Government propose to promote export of goods to France; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) Exports to France comprise of many items. Major items of exports to France during the last three years, inter alia, include RMG cotton including accessories, cotton yarn/fabrics/made-ups, petroleum products, RMG manmade fibres, transport equipment, machinery & instrument, drugs, pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals, etc.

(b) The value of goods exported to France during the last three years is as under:-

(c) & (d) Export promotion is a continuous process and the steps taken by Government in this regard inter alia include interaction at the Government level through bilateral joint committee and sectoral working groups, encouraging and facilitating direct business level contacts, participation in trade promotion activities, exchange of delegations, etc.
