(a) whether the Government has identified protected monuments under Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the funds sanctioned by the Government to various State Governments including Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand for the purpose since the launch of this scheme, State/UT-wise and year-wise; and
(d) the details of the amount released and utilized so far in this regard?

(a)&(b) The Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan is followed for all 3686 centrally protected monuments in the country so that they are maintained in a good state of preservation and cleanliness. The State-wise details of monuments are at Annexure-I.
(c)&(d) Archaeological Survey of India is responsible for conservation, preservation and maintenance including environmental development and day-to-day cleanliness at all centrally protected monuments in the country. The expenditure required for cleanliness is met from consolidated budget. The fund allocated and expenditure incurred on conservation, preservation and maintenance including cleaning of monuments of National importance in the country during year 2014-15 and 2015-16 is at Annexure-II. However, no funds have been allocated to State Governments in this regard.
