Question : Review of Projects under PMGSY

(a) the status of project targeted/sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), so far along with the allocation made for the purpose, State-wise;

(b) whether the Union Government permits States to revise the estimated cost of projects under the PMGSY in order to accommodate increase in the prices of raw materials;

(c) if so, the States which have revised the estimated cost of various projects during 2012-13, and 2014-15 so far; and

(d) the details of the cost of such projects increased/decreased due to such revisions during the said period, State-wise?

(a): The State-wise status of project sanctioned and funds released so far under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is enclosed as Annexure.

(b) to (d): According to the PMGSY Programme Guidelines & Operations Manual, the Administrative Approval and Technical Sanction to the PMGSY works cleared by the Ministry are to be accorded by the competent authority as per the State Rules. In case the value of tenders received is above the estimate that has been cleared by the Ministry, the difference (tender premium), pooled for the entire District/State for works cleared in a phase/batch will be borne by the State Government.
