(a) the estimated production of paddy, rice and wheat separately during the current year;
(b) the quantity of these foodgrains procured and the overall stock during each of the last three years and the current year;
(c) whether the stock is sufficient to meet the requirements in the country and to check the prices of these foodgrains during the ensuing year; and
(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a): As per 2nd Advance Estimates released by Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, the estimated production of rice and wheat separately during the current year 1036.1 Lakh Metric Tonnes (LMT) and 938.2 LMT respectively. No estimates for production of paddy is released.
(b): The quantity of these foodgrains procured during each of the last three years and the current year is as follows :-

(c) & (d): Yes, Madam. The stock of foodgrains including wheat and rice in Central Pool is 366.99 LMT and the buffer norms to meet the demand of foodgrains is 210.40 lakh MT as on 1st April, 2016.
