Question : Atal Pension Yojana

(a) the details of the subscribers to the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) including the funds allocated under the scheme during the last four years, State-wise including Madhya Pradesh;
(b) whether the financial allocation for the Yojana is considered adequate by the Government and if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, whether the Government will consider enhancing the same and if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether the Government has recently made it compulsory for all subscribers to link their Aadhaar with their bank accounts to make the scheme transparent and if so, the details of response received thereto; and
(e) whether any grievance redressal cell has been set up for the subscribers of the said scheme and if so, the details thereof?

STATEMENT OF LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. *245 REGARDING “ATAL PENSION YOJANA” RAISED BY SHRI CHHOTE LAL AND SHRI BODHSINGH BHAGAT, TO BE ANSWERED ON 03.08.2018.

(a) to (c)- The Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is operational from 1st June, 2015. The number of subscribers under APY during each of the last four years, State-wise including Madhya Pradesh is at Annexure-I.

The APY is a Central Government scheme. Under APY, the Government of India allocates budget centrally to Pension Fund Regulatory & Development Authority (PFRDA) for incentive and Co-Contribution. The funds allocated under APY during each of the last four years is as follows:

The allocation of funds for APY is made in proportion to the number of subscribers under the Scheme. Adequate funds have been allocated under the Scheme.

(d)- The Central Government has extended the date of submission of Aadhaar Number, till a date to be notified subsequent to pronouncement of final judgement in WP. (C) 494/2012 etc. by Hon’ble Supreme Court.

(e)- A Central Grievance Management System (CGMS) has been set up for early resolution of grievances.
