Question : PEOPLE REPATRIATED FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES



(a) the number of people repatriated by the gulf countries and other countries during the last three years, country-wise;

(b) whether the Union Government have prepared a plan or set up a Central Fund for their rehabilitation;

(c) if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether they have been permitted to travel again on the same passport to the gulf coutries; and

(e) if so, the reasons therefor?

(a): A statement indicating the number of persons repatriated to India from different countries including the Gulf countries, is attached.

(b): No Sir.

(c): Does not arise.

(d) & (e): The repatriated Indians are allowed to re-enter the Gulf countries on the same passport if there are no adverse entries on them. In case of adverse entries, fresh passports are required to be taken for re-entering the Gulf countries.
