(a) whether the Government maintains a record of the number of review petitions and curative petitions filed with the Supreme Court; and

(b) if so, the number of review petitions and curative petitions admitted and dismissed during the last ten years alongwith the average time spent in hearing a review petition and a curative petition?

(a) No, Sir.

(b) Supreme Court of India has informed that the following number of Review petitions and Curative petitions were dismissed during the last ten years i.e., from 2011 to 2020:-

Case Type Matters dismissed in last ten years
Review Petition (C) 19710
Review Petition (Crl.) 6087
Curative Petition (C) 2155
Curative Petition (Crl.) 620

Supreme Court has further informed that the number of admitted petitions and average time spent in hearing a Review petition and Curative petition is not maintained.
