THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE
(a) to (d) As reported by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), they have received 51 proposals from Govt. of Kerala for improving rural roads under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) Scheme during FY 2021-22.
NABARD has also informed that BM&BC toEruvatty-Vimalasseri-Therthally Road project in Kannur District is included in the list of 51 projects forwarded by the State Government of Kerala.

NABARD has further apprised that out of 51 projects, 12 projects has been sanctioned during 2021-22 after considering the RIDF allocation for the Kerala State Government.
The Government of India had set up RIDF in NABARD during 1995-96, with the objective of providing loans to the States to enhance public investments in rural infrastructure projects prioritized by the State Governments, out of a list of 39 eligible activities approved by GoI. The 39 eligible activities are broadly classified under three categories as (i) Agriculture and related sector, (ii) Social sector and (iii) Rural Connectivity. Allocation under RIDF is made by NABARD on the basis of identification and prioritisation of eligible projects and submission of Detailed Project Report (DPR) by the respective State Government, which is considered by NABARD subject to availability of normative allocation for the respective State Government and the project being found technically & financially viable.
