(a): the numkber of salt works in Gujarat particularly in Kutch and Saurashtraregion;
(b): the details of land in each salt works in the region under the lease or ownership;
(c): whether record of labourers working in the salt works is not being maintained by the Rural Development Commissioner;
(d): if so, the reasons therefor;and
(e): the correction steps taken in this regard?

(a) There are 2762 Salt Works in Gujarat. Out of which 984 Salt Works are in Kutch and 1446 Salt Works are in Saurashtra region.
(b) (b) the number of Salt Works and the area of land in respect of each region is given in Annexure.
(c) The Rral Development Commissioner, Govt. of Gujarat maintains the records of the unorganised Salt Workers and the Labour Commissioner, Govt . of Gujarat maintains the records of organised Salt Workers.
(d) &(e) Does not aries.
