STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY OF PARTS (a) to (c) OF THE LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. *77 FOR ANSWER ON 21.11.2019 REGARDING IMPLEMENTATION OF PMAY.
(a) Yes Sir. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) [PMAY(U)], against an assessed demand of around 1.12 Crore houses in urban areas of the States/UTs, 93.00 lakh houses have so far been sanctioned, of which 55.40 lakh houses have been grounded and 28.06 lakh houses have been completed/occupied.
(b) No Sir.
(c) Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY) has been discontinued and liabilities against the 183 ongoing RAY projects have been subsumed in PMAY(U).
