(a) & (b) The Haldia Fertilizer Project of Hindustan Fertilizer
Corporation of India Ltd. is already a Public Sector Undertaking under
the administrative control of the Department of Fertilizers. It could never
be commissioned owing to techno-economic non-viability and has been
lying closed since 1986.
