(a) whether fishermen in the coastal areas are facing acute shortage of cold storage facilities in their respective States;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Ministry, under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme on Development of Marine Fisheries, Infrastructure and Post Harvest Operations provides financial assistance for creation of post harvest infrastructure facilities including cold storage; and

(d) if so, the financial assistance provided during each of the last three years and the current year to these coastal States?

(a) to (d): Yes, Madam. In order to address the inadequacy of post harvest infrastructure facilities in fisheries sector, the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme on Development of Marine Fisheries, Infrastructure and Post Harvest Operations has been providing financial assistance to Government undertakings/corporations, Federations, Marketing Boards, Cooperative Societies, Self Help Groups(SHGs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Pvt. Companies, for creation of post harvest infrastructural facilities. Details of financial assistance provided for fisheries in the coastal States during each of the last three years and the current fiscal are as below:
