(a) whether a large number of consumers who were eariier using LPG connections have
switched over to PNG as domestic fuel;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether PNG consumer can retain their LPG connection for its use while shifting
from PNG supply area to LPG supply area;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) if not, the arrangements made or options available to consumers?

(a) & (b): Pubiic Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reported that they do not
maintain data of consumers who have switched from LPG to Piped Natural Gas (PNG) as domestic
fuei.
(c) to (e): At present, there is no restriction on retaining LPG connection after acquiring
PNG connection. However, consumers, in the interest of safety, can surrender their LPG
connection against the Termination Voucher which may subsequently be used on shifting/
relocating from PNG location to non-PNG location.
