MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI R. VELU)

(a) to (e): The survey for doubling of Daund-Manmad via Ahmednagar was completed in 2001-02. As per the survey, the cost of doubling of this 238 km long line was assessed as Rs.522 crore with a rate of return of (-)2.94%. In view of heavy throwforward of ongoing projects and acute constraint of resources, it has not been found feasible to consider the proposal.
