(a) whether the Navy and the Coast Guard have worked out any new strategy to combat piracy, arms smuggling and infiltration of militants and other activities;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the extent to which it is likely to prevent such activities at the sea?

(a) to (c): The Indian Navy and the Coast Guard continue to maintain regular vigil in the area to prevent violation of our Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), piracy, arms smuggling and such other undesirable activities. In addition to coastal patrolling, joint operations by the Navy and the Coast Guard in the sensitive areas are also carried out to prevent such activities at sea.
