(a) whether the notification issued on November 5, 1990 notified that Doordarshan
Cameraman Gr.I will be inducted IBPS after two years of service;
(b) if so, whether the recommendations of Fifth Pay Commission para 73.51 had
recommended that cameraman Gr.I who is working in Doordarshan will be inducted to
IBPS; and
(c) if so, the details thereof and the reasons of not inducting any cameraman Gr.I to
IBPS?

(a) : By a notification dated 5th November, 1990, Cameramen Grade-I in the pay scale
of Rs. 2375-3500/- with two years` regular service were made eligible for vacancies
specifically marked for Programme Officer (Cameraman) at Junior Time Scale level.
This clause could not be made operative as there is no post of Programme Officer
(Cameraman).
(b) & (c) : The V Central Pay Commission recommended encadrement of Cameraman
Grade-I in IB(P)S. However, due to pending litigation the matter is sub-judice.
