Question : Funds for Agricultural Schemes

(a) the details of funds approved, released and utilised under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) for the last two years and current year, State-wise;
(b) the details of funds approved, released and utilised under National Food Security Mission (NFSM) for the last two years and current year, State-wise; and
(c) the steps taken by the Ministry to incentivise farmers cultivating millets in dryland and to ensure adequate procurement from the farmers with millets assured and timely declaration of MSP?

(a)& (b): The state-wise details of funds allocated, released and utilized under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) and National Food Security Mission (NFSM) during last two years and current year are given respectively at Annexure-I&II
(c): In order to encourage production and consumption of millets, Government of India notified millets as Nutri-Cereals in April, 2018. NFSM-Nutri cereals scheme is being implemented in 212 districts of 14 states in the country under the National Food Security Mission (NFSM) with the objective of increasing foodgrain production through area expansion and productivity enhancement. Minimum Support Price(MSP) for agriculture commodities is recommended by Commission for Agriculture Costs and Pricesby considering various factors such as cost of production, supply and demand situation of various crops in domestic and global markets, domestic and world prices along with trade opportunities etc. The Minimum Support Prices (MSP) fixed for millets crops since 2019-20 is given as under:

As per guidelines, States/UTs are allowed to procure millets (Jowar, Bajra and Ragi) at minimum support price under central pool with the prior approval of Govt. of India.
