(a) whether due to recession, the Government propose to provide tax
holiday facility to hotel industry for a reasonable period to boost the
tourism industry;
(b) if so, the details thereof ; and
(c) the time by when a final decision is likely to be taken in this regard?

(a)(b)&(c): The issue of rationalization/reduction of taxes in the hotel
industry has been
taken up with the concerned Ministries/State Governments. The
recommendations have
also been forwarded to the concerned Ministries for consideration.
