(a): An expenditure of Rs. 416 crore has been incurred upto 31.03.2009 out of the total estimated
cost of Rs. 540.96 crore.
(b): 69% progress has been achieved for Bhind-Etawah new rail line. There have been problems in availability
of forest and Wild Life Sanctuary land for this portion in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Working permission now exists in Uttar Pradesh and issue of transfer of land in Madhya Pradesh has been
taken up.
(c): The completion of the project is expected to be by March, 2012 depending upon early transfer of land
and availability of resources.
