(a) whether the Government has given permission to claim exemption from OBC quota for
some minority institutions to protect the interests of the students;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with its present status; and
(c) the views of each State in this regard?

(a) to (b): As per the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act,
2006, the reservation of seats in admission is not applicable to a Minority Educational
Institution as defined in the Act.
The Minority Educational Institution, as defined in the Act, means an Institution
established and administered by the minorities under clause (1) of Article 30 of the
Constitution and so declared by an Act of Parliament or by the Central Government or
declared as a Minority Educational Institution under the National Commission for
Minority Educational Institutions Act, 2004.
(c) : In view of the above, does not arise.
