(a) whether the Government is contemplating to bring changes and
amendments in the Competition Act 2002;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with its objectives; and
(c) the salient features which have been included in the proposed amendments to the Act?

(a) to (c) Yes, Madam. In the light of the experience gained in the working
of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) and the suggestions of an Expert
Committee appointed for the purpose, certain amendments in the Competition Act
have been finalized. A Bill to amend the Competition Act is likely to be
introduced in the current session itself.
