(a) whether the Government have received any demand from the public Chamber of Commerce and Member of Parliament of Jamnagar to construct a four way rail track and one more platform at Jamnagar railway station in Gujarat;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the time by which this track and platform are likely to be constructed alongwith details of the construction plan project and cost estimates thereof?

(a): Yes, Sir.
(b): At present, Jamnagar has 3 lines (tracks) in the station
yard and 2 platforms. The demand is for provision of an
additional 4th line (track) and one more platform at Jamnagar.
(c) The facilities already existing in Jamnagar are adequate
to deal with the traffic requirement. Additional track or
platform at Jamnagar are neither operationally required nor
financially justified.
