(a)&(b): Almost all the essential medicines prescribed by the doctors of Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Safdarjung hospital and other Government hospitals in Delhi are available at CGHS Wellness Centres (WCs) in Delhi. In case the medicines are not readily available in the WCs, they are procured through Authorized Local Chemists and provided to the CGHS beneficiaries.

(c) & (d) : A committee under the chairmanship of Director General Health Services (DGHS) has revised the existing generic formulary containing 1447 drugs. Now the proposed revised formulary prepared at the level of DGHS contains 1165 molecules involving over 2000 formulations.

The revised formulary containing 1165 molecules is expected to be comprehensive enough to cater to the needs of most of the patients. To ensure the availability of these medicines at the WCs, tenders have already been floated for finalizing the rate contract of more than 1200 drugs.
