(a)whether the Government of Japan has provided any funds to set up some hydel
power projects in the country;
(b)if so, the details thereof; and
(c)the name of the States where the said projects are being set up and the progress
made, if any, in that regard?

(a) to (c) : Yes, Sir. There are five hydro-electric projects presently under execution
in the country with financial assistance from Japan. The details of these projects
including their location, installed capacity, extent of loan and physical progress are as given below:
