(a) whether the Government is considering to provide special facilities/services/
assistance to universities under the Skill India Mission across the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the amount of budget provided for this purpose and the number of universities
identified under this mission?

(a) & (b) : Yes, Madam. The Ministry of Human Resource Development through
University Grants Commission (UGC) is providing grants for development of the
infrastructure including specific equipment/facilities etc. to the UGC approved
Universities across the country for three Skill development programmes namely,
Community Colleges, B.Voc degree programme and DeenDayal Upadhyay Kaushal
Kendras.
