(a) There are 2 projects on the Rajkot-Porbandar section of NH-27. (i) Porbandar-Jetpur section on TOT Mode:
The concessionaire of Porbandar-Jetpur section has to maintain the stretch as per provisions prescribed in the TOT Agreement. However, due to non-maintenance of the highway as well as non-completion of scope of work in scheduled time period, the Authority has imposed damages to the Concessionaire amounting to Rs. 5.27 Cr.
(ii) Jetpur-Gondal-Rajkot section on BOT (Toll) Mode:
The concessionaire of Jetpur-Gondal–Rajkot section has to maintain the stretch as per provisions prescribed in the BOT Agreement. However, due to non-maintenance of the highway as per provisions of Concession Agreement, cure period notice and preliminary notice have been issued to the Concessionaire. Further, the Authority has imposed damages to the Concessionaire amounting to Rs. 9.803 Cr.
(b) Yes Sir. The Concessionaire is collecting Toll Tax as per provisions of Concession Agreement.
(c) Following works have been sanctioned by the National Highways Authority of India in Porbandar Parliamentary constituency during last two and a half years:
(i) 4-lane of Madhavpur-Porbandar section of NH-51.
(ii) Left out work of Jetpur-Somnath including Junagadh bypass.
(iii) The work of lighting arrangement at Narsang Tekri in Porbandar with safety grills on ROB.
(iv) Re-carpeting of Porbandar Bypass NH-51 work.
(v) The VUP at Pedhala Chowkdi.
(vi) New Service road at Koyali Village (Both sides) under Junagadh Bypass road.
(vii) The erection of High Mast at Gomta Chowkdi & Ramanath Mandir Chowkdi.
(viii) The work of additional street light along the Porbandar-Jetpur section of NH-27.
(d) On the representations received, actions are taken as per the technical feasibility, site requirement, fund availability etc.
