Question : Restoration of train from Kannur to Byndoor

(a) whether the Government is going to take appropriate steps to restore the existing train from Kannur(CAN) to Byndoor (BYNR);
(b) if so, instead of leaving Kannur at 4.30 am, the train is going to be rescheduled to reach Byndoor in the morning and also extend it to Rameshwaram connecting pilgrim centers of Palani, Madurai, etc. for more economic viability;
(c) whether there are any possibilities to re-start this train accordingly with the new time schedule and destinations; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d) 56665/56666 Kasaragod-Mookambika Road Byndoor Passenger had been introduced w.e.f 09.02.2015 and was discontinued w.e.f 12.05.2017 owing to poor patronage. At present, there is no proposal for restoration of this train or extension upto Rameswaram with revised timings.
