Question : Centralised Access Control System

(a) whether the Government has launched the Biometric enabled Centralised Access Control System (CACS) and ''e-BCAS Project Training Module'' for enhancing security and ease of doing business at airports;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) whether the move will help in the ease of doing business and if so, the details thereof?

(a) : Yes, sir. The Centralised Access Control System (CACS) and e-BCAS Training Module projects have been launched for enhancing security and ease of doing business at airports.

(b): The CACS project is for issuance of biometric enabled smart card based Airport Entry Permit (AEP) and Radio Frequency Identity (RFID) based automated vehicle access control system, according to the terminal, zone and gate for secured and regulated access of employee/staff and airport vehicle. The e-BCAS Training Module is for the stake holders to make them register on the portal for nomination for training courses conducted by Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). ;;

(c): Yes, sir. The CACS and e-BCAS Training Module projects promote ease of doing business in the following manner:-

- The CACS project envisages digitization of AEP request and would reduce human interface. ;
- Nomination, approval, declaration of results and generation of certificates of the training are processed on digital platform under the e-BCAS Training Module.
