(a) to (d): A Statement is laid on the Table of the House
*****

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (d) OF UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 4037 BY SHRI KAUSHALENDRA KUMAR TO BE ANSWERED IN LOK SABHA ON 23.12.2015 REGARDING DANIYAWAN-SHEIKHPURA RAIL LINE

(a) to (c): Daniyawan- Sheikhpura (82 Km) via Biharsharif new line section is a part of Neora-Daniyawan-Biharsharif-Barbigha-Sheikhpura New Line project which has been taken up at an anticipated cost of `1100 crore. Daniyawan-Biharsharif (38 Km) section has already been completed and commissioned. In the remaining section, land acquisition, earthwork and bridge works have been taken up.
As per Final Location Survey, there is no station named Kidal on this alignment. In fact, this project on completion will provide an alternate route between Neora and Kiul via Daniyawan, Biharsharif, Barbigha & Sheikhpura on Delhi-Howrah trunk route.
Completion of Railway projects is dependent upon various factors like forestry clearances, complete handing over of encumbrance free land by the State Govt., shifting of utilities, local demand for additional accommodation works like Road Over Bridges/Road Under Bridges, etc. apart from availability of adequate funds. As many of these factors are beyond the control of the Ministry of Railways, it is not feasible to fix time lines for all the projects.
(d): At the stations on Daniyawan-Biharsharif section, passenger amenities have been provided as per requirement.
