Question : Budget Allocation of 1KW FM Transmitter

(a) whether approval has been accorded for the budgetary allocation for the setting up of 1 KW FM transmitter in Sivani district under Balaghat, Lok Sabha Parliamentary area No. 15 in Madhya Pradesh and if so, the amount of funds approved, and if not, the reasons therefor; and

(b) if so, the time limit fixed for starting of the Akashwani Kendra?

(a)&(b) Prasar Bharati has informed that a scheme for setting up of 100 W FM transmitter at Sivani has been approved with budgetary allocation of Rs. 22.00 Lakhs. There is no proposal for starting an Akashwani Kendra at Sivani.
