(a): The details of the paddy procurement centers set up during the last three years, State-wise, are indicated in the Annexure.
(b) & (c): Yes, Sir. During the forthcoming Kharif Marketing Season too , commencing from Ist October, 2004, the State Governments as well as the Food Corporation of India (FCI) have decided to open adequate number of procurement centres in all the procuring States, on the pattern of previous year.
(d) & (e): In consultation with the State Governments, it has been decided that in Chattisgarh, as in the previous year, the State Government would set up adequate paddy procurement centres during ensuing Kharif Marketing Season. In Madhya Pradesh, both the FCI and the State Government, would set up paddy procurement centres on the same pattern as last year, while in Rajasthan the FCI would open the required number of paddy procurement centres in the State.
