to the reply given to the Unstarred Question No. 7410 dated May 12, 2000 and state:
(a) whether there has been a delay in accepting the recommendation of a panel for selection of a Director (Personnel) in Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) by Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB);
(b) if so, the reasons therefor;
(c) whether the Government have now accepted the said recommendation; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) and (b) While processing the panel recommended by PESB for the post of Director (Personnel), BALCO, the Government received number of complaints against the candidates recommended and, considering the nature of complaints, decided to have them examined before a final decision is taken.
(c) Government has not yet accepted the recommendation.
(d) Does not arise.
