(a) & (b) Information filed with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) against certain car
manufacturing companies alleging anti-competitive practices is under consideration of the
Commission.
(c) For protecting the interest of consumers, CCI is empowered under the Competition Act,
2002, to impose penalty or issue âcease and desistâ order or both, against enterprises involved
in anti-competitive practices including cartelistation.
