THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF COAL (SHRI PRAHLAD SINGH PATEL) :
(a) Yes, Sir. Coal Conservation and Development Advisory Committee (CCDAC) recommends
grant of assistance for claim as per CCDAC guidelines in respect of stowing, protective
work and rail/road to different coal companies. The claims are initially assessed at the
coal mines on the basis of their actual performance. Al! such claims assessed at the mines
are further scrutinised at different tiers/levels of the coal companies, CIL (Hq) in case
of subsidiary coal companies of CIL, field offices of Coal Controllers Office (for both CIL
and Non-CIL companies) and a subcommittee to CCDAC before these are considered and
recommended for the CCDAC meeting. Normative costs of the individual mines are taken into
account for arriving at the final recommendation of CCDAC for reimbursement of claims.
(b) Total number of applications for claims received from the coal companies and considered
for recommendation by CCDAC were as under :
