(a) whether the Government have chalked out any plan for the revival
of the power projects in the country;
(b) if so, the power-generation capacity out of the total installed
capacity required to be revived;
(c) the estimated cost worked out in this regard; and
(d) the additional quantum of power likely to be generated in the
country on completion of this project?
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF POWER ( SHRIMATI JAYAWANTI MEHTA )
(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. 1124 MW thermal capacity which is presently
under long shut down, is required to be revived.
(c): The estimated cost to revive the above thermal units has
been worked out to be about Rs. 807 crores.
(d): 1124 MW additional capacity is likely to be available for
generation after the revival of these units.
