(a) the salient features of Centrally sponsored schemes i.e. upgradation of Merit of
ST Students, Research and Training for STs, GIA to Scheduled Tribes Development and Finance
Corporation, Coaching and Allied Scheme, Book Bank Scheme, Boys Hostels, Girls
Hostels and Ashram Schools for STs;
(b) the criteria for allocating funds under each scheme to States and corresponding
Central share;
(c) whether these funds are given to the States as 100% grant or does it follow the
usual 70/30 (loan/grant) formula for plan assistance; and
(d) the details of proposals received, funds released and utilization thereof during
the last three years, State-wise and year-wise?
