(a) to (c) Yes. India is actively engaged in assisting the efforts of the Government of
Afghanistan in the reconstruction and development of that country as a means to strengthen
capacity of the Afghan state and thereby contributing to peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Our assistance programmes in Afghanistan are entirely in accordance with the priorities of
the Afghan government and people and are taking place in the areas of humanitarian,
infrastructural, institution and capacity building, small scale gestation projects and
agriculture. The present status of Indiaâs assistance programmes is to place emphasis on
capacity building and human resource development.
