(a) whether the Government are aware that lime stone, bauxite and letuite are found in abundancy in Satna District of Madhya Pradesh;
(b) whether the Government are contemplating to set up technology parks in order to promote industries and employment; and
(c) if so, the outlines thereof?

(a) Yes, Sir.
(b) & (c) Promotion of industries is primarily the responsibility of the State Governments concerned. However, Government of India is operating various schemes to supplement the efforts of State Governments towards that end. Under the Industrial Park Scheme, 2002, tax incentives are provided under Section 80 IA of the Income Tax Act, 1961 for setting up industrial parks/growth centres/industrial model towns. The Scheme is applicable for any undertaking which develops, develops and operates or maintains and operates an industrial park for the period beginning on the 1st day of April, 1997 and ending on 31st day of March, 2006.
