(a) whether his Ministry has accorded sanction to the demand of national Chambal Vikas
project-4, Hydro-Power Project, Rahu;
(b) the number of projects under the Chambal Project sanctioned by his Ministry; and
(c) the time by which the work of Hydro-Power project -4 is likely to be started?

(a)& (b) Site Clearances were granted for investigation & survey of four Hydro-electric
projects under Chambal Development Plan phase II, during September 2005 under Environment
Impact Assessment Notification, 1994. These proposals have not been received for environmental
clearance, so far.
(c) Does not arise, in view of reply to parts (a) &(b) above.
