Question : NH Connectivity in Aspirational Districts

(a) whether the Government is focusing on the highway road connectivity in the aspirational districts in the State of Odisha, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;
(b) whether the Government has noticed any economic development of the aspirational districts because of construction of National Highways (NHs) and if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the details of proposed and ongoing construction of highway projects in aspirational districts in the country including Odisha and Jharkhand?

(a) to (c) Yes, Sir. The details of the sanctioned and ongoing National Highway projects in aspirational districts in the country including Odisha and Jharkhand are at Annexure. Development of National Highways promotes faster and safer movement goods & passengers and reduces vehicle operating cost and travel time, which lead to economic growth for the people in the region.
