ACTIVITIES BY AMBEDKAR FOUNDATION
2351. SHRI RAMDAS C. TADAS:
Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the activities carried out by the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation for the Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) during the last three years;
(b) whether the Government has created awareness to popularize the said schemes among the targeted group and if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the details of funds allocated and utilized so far in Maharashtra in general and in Wardha and Amravati District in particular ?

(a): Dr. Ambedkar Foundation implements schemes for the Welfare of Schedule Castes (SCs) and Schedule Tribes (STs). The details of the ongoing Schemes are as under:
1. Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Scheme.
2. Dr. Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration through Inter-Caste Marriages.
3. Dr. Ambedkar National Relief for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes Victims Atrocities.
4. Dr. Ambedkar Chairs Scheme.
5. Celebration of Birth Anniversaries of Great Saints.
6. Dr. Ambedkar National Merit Award Scheme for meritorious students of Secondary School Examinations belonging to SCs & STs.
7. Dr. Ambedkar National Merit Award Scheme for meritorious students of Senior Secondary School Examinations belonging to SCs.

No Scheme is being implemented for the Welfare of the Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
(b): The Foundation spreads awareness about the Schemes through Seminars/Webinars, through Chairs, Radio Programmes, Advertisement in the Newspapers, Clippings in Social Media, organising Dr. Ambedkar Memorial lecture series etc.
