(a) whether the government propose to get the accounts of private telecom operators audited from the Comptroller and Auditor General of India;
(b) if so, the facts thereof and the reasons therefor; and
(c) the time by which a final decision is likely to be taken in this regard?

(a),(b)and (c): A reference has been received from the Additional Dy. Comptroller and Auditor General of India (P&T), on this subject. The matter is under consideration of the Government. Since inter ministrial consultations are involved, it is not feasible to indicate a time frame for final decision.
