Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
(SHRI UPENDRA KUSHWAHA)

(a) to (c) Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has reported that all the students
who have passed class 10th from Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) are granted admission
in class 11th in various streams as per their eligibility. Eligible students from other
schools are also considered for admission in class 11th in KVs, if seats are available
after accommodating all the eligible students of the same KV and neighboring KVs.
As per KVS admission guidelines, under the special dispensation scheme, Hon’ble
Members of Parliament and Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development can
recommend students for admission in KVs and such admissions are allowed over
and above the permitted class strength. During the current session 2017-18, no
students from other schools have been granted admission in class 11th in KV,
Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi either on merit basis or under special dispensation quota.
